Dua Lipa is an English musician and singer born on 22nd August 1995, at London United Kingdom. Dua Lipa signed to Warner Bros Records after a few years of working and put out a self-titled album in the year 2017. The album peaked at No. three on the U.K. Charts. The album had eight singles that were released, including Be the One I.D.G.A.F. and New Rules. In the United States it peaked as number 6. Lipa was awarded the Brit Award in 2018 as a British Female Soloist as well as British Breakthrough Artist. Her album is certified platinum in many nations. Future Nostalgia's second studio album was published in 2020. Help her celebrate here. Dua Lipa was born London on the 22nd of August, 1995 to Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa Rexha and Dukagjin Lipa. By virtue of her maternal grandmother, she is of Bosnian ancestry. It is also possible to trace her family tree back in Peja in Kosovo. Lipa's two grandfathers both were historians. She is the sister of Rina Lipa, and has an older brother called Gjin. Lipa began to learn how to play guitar and sing from her father Oda. Oda is the lead singer/guitarist of the Kosovan-rock band Oda. She was influenced by her father's music that included his original compositions, as well as songs by artists like David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics Stereophonics. Lipa began singing at the age of five. When she was in her 9th year she began singing at Sylvia Young Theater School. Lipa has performed a cover of Am Not Got You as well as Beautiful by Christina Aguilera on YouTube. Lipa was approached for a recording contract by Warner Bros. Records in 2014.
