Alexa Meade's painting style, that is a bit ephemeral in the sense that it is amorphous, transparent. The only work of Alexa's art that survives is the photo. Both photographic and painting methods are tightly interwoven and result in an unflat, 2-dimensional space that achieves trompe-l'oeil. In this, the third dimension can only be seen in specific areas like near the eyes, or near hair. Meade has integrated her model paintings into the space of 3D that surrounds the models. Interaction between them and this created world can be achieved. Thus, the boundary between painting and photography is removed.
